Our own cookies: none for tracking
sounding does not currently require an account or sign-in, and sets no first-party tracking cookies. Your browser's local storage holds a few small UI preferences (for example, that you dismissed the corner ad this session) — these never leave your device and identify nothing about you.
Third-party advertising cookies
The service is designed to be ad-supported. The Google AdSense script is present for site verification and spam and abuse detection and may set cookies for those purposes; personalized ads are not yet served. If and when advertising is enabled, Google AdSense and its certified partners may set and read cookies (or use similar technologies) to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads (where you have consented) based on your visits to this and other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies is described in Google's advertising policies, and you can manage personalization at Google Ad Settings. Where required, a consent prompt will be shown before any personalized ads are served.
Controlling cookies
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies (look under Privacy or Site Settings). Blocking third-party cookies does not affect any feature of sounding. Reports generate and save exactly the same, and if ads are shown in the future, blocking those cookies may make them less relevant.
